Sky Diving
Sky diving may seem scary to many but to Lyn its a way of life. She shows her timeline, from her first jump and fast forwards to her 1000th. To me she seemed very relaxed while she was presenting until she lost her place. I didn't like that she couldn't keep up with her own PechaKucha. I understand that t could be stressful. But she probably should have studied more. and practiced so her presentation was clean and clear. But I must say that she made me understand more about sky diving. She shared that went from a one time jump after college to a lifestyle of having fun in the sky. And to me that seems like the only thing I would want in my job life. Is to have fun each and every day and share m passion for my work with my coworkers. And I loved the way she put everything together. Because I was interested in the entire presentation.
And normally I get very bored. So this was a new thing for me. she also allowed me to understand not only the excitement but the danger as well. Which I think this is very important when presenting. So in my honest opinion I believe that the only thing she could improve on was the pause an apologizing in the middle because it makes her seem like she didn't practice. But overall it was very nice and enjoyable.

Abduction in China
The crimes that go on with no consequences.
China and America are completely different countries. And yet an outstandingly horrible crime in American is completely okay with them it seems. And we all know that if this happened here in our states it would be a crime that could cause the death penalty if it is severe enough. And this crime is called kidnappings, or abduction. And yet it is so common their that its as if it is just another day. And this is crazy. It makes me feel sick that many children are being taken and I could not fathom the thought of losing my own family. And luckily for my friend Elmo he was able to keep his sister in their family because they live with their parents and grandparents. And I wish the best for them.
And yes I am talking about the "one child policy" but it is much more than that. Your completely lucky if your siblings don't get stripped from your families arms. And this is completely sad due to the fact that "Chinese have a strong belief of family" said Elmo. And yet people do this so often. That "10,000 children are kidnapped each year" said the Chinese government. And yet it is up to the broken hearted parents to retrieve there lost children.
"In China, kids are abducted not for ransom but for sale" replied the foreignpolicy.com... Don't they understand that this is a horrible crime that should not go unpunished. And yes I understand that their population was such a growing issue, that "in 2005, the country had an estimated 1,306,313,812 people" stated Kim Dramer, and yes this is a very large number. But we as people inhabiting the planet should not be stealing young children from any country no matter what policy, rule, or standard we are supposed to follow. So why does it continue to be unpunished if it is affecting so many families and loved ones?
Wells, hopefully their country will recognize that it should be a crime that ends with a punishment. Instead of letting it get to the point were thousands of children are being stripped from the homes they once knew to be sold like cattle in a auction house.

Reading Response #4
What is happening?
Noa is lost in this worry that she will be captured once again. And she doesn't know which way to turn. Does she return to the center? I don't think so. Why would she return to the one place where she ran from as a younger teen. . . . that's right she wouldn't at least not yet. All this girl wants is to be able to live her life in peace with no worries. But these strange men continue to follow and try to track her.
She finds her self low on funds after her agreement with Peter that gave her about $500 and that got her this far, but it wasn't enough. With her expenses of hotels and cloths I am surprised all the money she received wasn't gone a long time ago. Anyways she finds her self at a coffee shop glancing across the road to the mailing office were her new bank card is stored. But all of a sudden a man in combat boots, and wearing black like the men before, walks in and Noa takes off. She bolts down the road and turns as many corners as she can to get away from this man. Does she get away safely?
Peter still tries to discover more about his fathers program, but he finds him self in more trouble now then ever. He rests at the public library to find more out. And does he?.........
Sadly not the only thing he finds is Marcus's hand gripping his shoulder with much strength to persuade him to stop researching he has no business doing so. What does Peter end up doing?
Does he leave with Marcus? What's Noa's next move? Will the contact each other soon?

Reflection on the video
When I imagined the terrorist attack on 9/11 I never once thought about what other people thought. And no one did. We never thought about the fact that one wrong look at someone could actually impact their life. Like the man in this case, Muhammed El Nasla would be checked for bombs because he was from the same place as the terrorists. Or he looked similar. And the people he worked with were to afraid to let the poor man work, all because he looked like a "terrorist."
I could never imagine how it would feel to have people treat me this way knowing that i wasn't the culprit. And of the people worried about there families like; Khaled Abou EL Fadl, he hoped that it wasn't someone he knew. But he couldn't always be sure.
I would never know what to do or know who's side I could be on until all of the racist, judge mental people were removed. This video really changed how I see people. And I will at least start one day at a time and I wont be so quickly to judge people. I hope these brave people are able o move on so their life has a chance to improve and move on.

Reading response #3 "Don't Turn Around"
What will They Choose?
Noa and Peer are still on the search for more information about "AMRF" and they wont stop until they find something. Well that is until Noa finds herself staring at a picture of her cold almost lifeless body in an email. She is lost with her words when she discovers this email from a unknown source. All she knows is that there are 12 total files attached to this shampoo add.Peter at the time tries explaining his self to his parents but finds himself talking to a brick wall. And all he wants is a little support but they don't seem to mind what he has to say. Peters mother says "So what exactly did he say" "I already told you" says Peter. And this is a very good example of them not listening. And he is relying on "rain," Noa's code name, to pull through for him. And dig through all of the files that he
needs her to. Hopefully she pulls through for him.
Second of all while Noa is searching through the 12 files, she finds more kids that she knew from the "Center" which is the adoptive center. And the title of the folder was "Test Subject: Boston" While she searched her file she saw the picture of her laying on the surgical table and "She was even paler than usual, almost blue."
I understand that it had to have been very hard for Noa to find out the big news. I wonder what emotions she was feeling when she saw this photo? And I wonder what peters next step is? Plus who is after Noa?

Reading Response #2 "Don't Turn Around"
This book continues to surprise me. I love how easy it is to follow, and yet so much is going on.
Noa escapes from the warehouse that the guarded men kept her. It was almost impossible for her and it filled her body with pain due to her new scabbed cut in the middle of her chest. It makes her body cringe. But this was the only way to get out and that was to run.
She finds herself in danger trapped in a boat yard. She is quiet as she hides away in a boat and finds her way inside. But then they return. So all she can do is be quiet and hope they don't come looking in the boat she is placed in.
The men decide to move on and she sets a boat on fire to conquer her goal of escaping to go home. All goes well as the fire department shows up. She climbs aboard, but sadly she can't trust anyone so she retreats to the top of the truck and waits until she can jump off, little did she know there was a camera above her watching her the whole time.
Later that evening she finds herself tangled up in not only some crazy drama with peter, and old fisherman's suit to beat the cold.
Peter is lost and has no idea on were to begin with the intrusion that occurred. So he asks for help from the "Alliance" ( a group of experienced hackers). And thankfully Noa reply's to his offer but for price. He willingly gives her the "price" and the set out to find and take down the men who stole peters lap top, and destroyed his sense of security. To fight the feeling Noa and peter decide to meet at the Back Bay Station... And they set up a plan on their next move. Sadly Peter is having trouble believing Noa. So hopefully she doesn't just take the "price" and go...
"They were standing in front of the station now, facing the parking lot. Peter couldn't shake the feeling that she was trying to get rid of him as quickly as possible, and he suddenly got nervous, How could he be sure she wouldn't screw him over" Said by peter in 'Don't turn around"
I cant wait to read more of this book. I get so excited when I am given the chance to read my book. It honestly reminds me of how often I have to move around. I never felt safe and I always felt like I was going to get taken away. And that fear of being taken away, now that I am happy, still haunts me because I love the home I am in now. I wish the best for Noa and Peter because I know how it feels to have no one you can trust and the only person you can rely on is the person you are currently speaking to. Peter and Noa have each other just like I have Justin.
Does Noa get the chance to return home?
Will peter find those who are after him?
Does Peter find out why Noa is acting so strange?
The picture of the locks resemble the hackers trying to break through the codes to unlock what happened to Peter and Noa.
And the Two shaking hands are to show that Noa and peter have to trust each other in order to find what they are looking for.
