I'm between electro shock therapy and PTSD and is affect of families. I haven't decided on which one that I want to learn more about. And if I went with war veterans I would use people who were in my family that were apart of the military. And I would apply their own personal experiences in training and what the military's affect had on them. But yet I haven't decided.
These are both great topics!
ReplyDeleteEither one will be good.
ReplyDeleteBoth are really interesting!
ReplyDeleteI like the PTSD topic because you have access to good primary sources, and it's very relevant. Both are intriguing though!
ReplyDeleteElectro shock therapy. I would love to read a paper on that.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those are great topics. I feel like the electroshock therapy one would be very interesting but you could probably get more/better information on the PTSD. There's actually an organization called Warrior Hike where veterans go on hikes to "walk off the PTSD" together and the guy who started it lives in Springfield.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be more interesting to research electro shock therapy because I don't think as many people are aware of the treatment of the mentally retarded and insane in the past.
ReplyDeletePTSD has affected so many people in a lot of different ways. Sometimes veterans that have PTSD don't even realize it or try to hide it because they feel like it makes them weak.
ReplyDeleteBoth topics would keep your readers interested! I think you're safe with which ever one you go with.
ReplyDeleteI vote PTSD! I think it's very relevant and you could look at PTSD caused by other things than the military and compare them.
ReplyDeleteMore people I would think know bout the therapy topic honestly than the PTSD. If I were you I would go with your second pick.
ReplyDeletePTSD would be a very interesting topic to research. So many people are affected by it.
ReplyDeletePersonally my dad suffers from PTSD. The effects it has on families would be a very good topic, Knowing how it has effected my family and so many others.
ReplyDeletePTSD would be a very interesting topic, especially since you know people who were in the military.
ReplyDeletethose are both very bold research topics, but the PTSD is very interesting.
